History
The club was founded in 2002 when Angelo
Ratto and Jeromy Weil decided to enter a team indoor at Turf City
under the name Hump Street Futbol Club. This original team consisted
of 10 members and blue t-shirs for jerseys. After a succesful indoor
season in which the gialloblu won the indoor league, the team
decided to enter a Men's Outdoor team in the GSSL A North. The
team's first coach was Antonio Percontino and the first captain was
Matt Percontino. The first official match took place on Sept 7th
2003 against their first rivals Lyndhurst FC which ended in a
1-1 draw. The first season marked the team's most succesful year in
state cup play where the team reached the final 16 before
losing on penalty kicks to Doxa. The team finished 3rd in the
division and then won the A-North division the following year under
coaches Jerry Romano and Mike Castella and met their most
recent rivals Brownstone SC who has yet to beat the gialloblu up
until this point. In its third season the team was cheated out of a
repeat title in the GSSL A-North by a scandal within the league
forcing the team to forfeit a match that would have won them the
title. The most winningest coach in the team's history, Coach
Castella was also removed of his duties making way for the
team's most recent and youngest coach Nico
Percontino. Following the incident the gialloblu have
since moved into a more competitive league in the NJSL Premeir East
Division. The gialloblu enjoyed their best season to date in
2006-2007 advancing the semi-finals of the NJ State Cup and
winning the NJSL Premeir East Divison. The team also won the
NJSL League Cup and reached the semi-finals of the NJSL
Playoffs.
