Hump Street vs. Skyline Cup |

Hoboken, NJ: The gialloblu are the
skyline cup champions for the fourth time beating State Cup
champions Newark Enforcers in the finals 1-0. En route to the
playoffs, Hump Street took on South River (2-0 W), Kearny
Irish FC (3-1 W), and the NJ Lions (1-1 T). In the semi-final
match the gialloblu faced off against Albuja FC. Quattrocchi
put Hump St up 1-0 with possibly the goal of the tournament,
volleying a ball at head height into the top corner. Ferrara
added two goals to close the match 3-0. Hump Street then took
on the Newark Enforcers in a very close contest. Hump
Street played well in the opening minutes of the match and got
on the board early after a combination play ended on Tubito's
foot in front of goal and he slotted the only goal of the
match past the keeper. Hump Street were under pressure for the
final 15 minutes of the match, but were able to hold off their
opponents in the end. All 6 new acqusitions played their part
in the tournament along with 13 returning players. Castella
was delighted with the victory as the players expected no less
then a cup. Castella said, "We kept our cool and played Hump
Street Futbol just like I asked of the lads." Assistant Coach
Nicola Percontino after winning his first cup with the
team stated, "The team looked really good, and if we lost
no one would have been allowed to come shower at my place to
go out." Presidente Luigi Percontino was very happy with both
finalists in the tournament and was even seen singing the
San Paolo chants with the gialloblu's opposition. After the
tournament he said, "They were a good team yooo, but I
personally love Little Nico and he along with the
rest of the team pulled through for another
cup."

Hoboken, NJ: Hump Street wins
their second pre-season friendly against last year's
Premier US Division Champions. Castella was extremely happy
with the talent on display and will have a tough time choosing
his first teamers in the upcoming weeks. Castella stated "It
will be tough to make the selection, but at least the problem
is choosing between the overflow of talent and not the
opposit. It's a good problem to have. I'm excited about the
things we can do for the upcoming year and I know that their
will be a lot of pressure for me this year to bring home a
state cup title." The gialloblu played the match with 5
new faces attending the match including J. Watson (Buffalo,
NY), B. Jenkins, A. Darby (Hoboken SC), A. Dinculescu, and
Dwight (Monmouth University).

Hump Street lose pre-season opener |

Lyndhurst, NJ: The gialloblu lose
in their first pre-season match of the season, but they got a
good luck at some possible acquisitions for the upcoming
season. Overall it was a good fitness test for players and the
manager was happy with the result. Percontino stated "I saw
some good things from the players and also some points of
weakness that need to be sorted out. We will work on the litle
things each week so that we can improve on them and get
prepared for our pre-season tournament in Hoboken."
